Blue Trail
Difficulty Rating: Difficult
Length: 5.1 miles

The Blue Trail is a great option for hiking in the summer months. It runs right through the heart of Sleeping Giant and swings past the castle. It is also the only trail on Sleeping Giant that continues past the park's boundaries. The trail runs from North Haven to Cheshire and covers 23 miles in all.   In fact it was the first of the many CT "Blue Trails" to open. This trail is great for avid hikers but can be a bit difficult for those lacking experience. In the summer, it provides beautiful views throughout the hike. It is one of the longest trails in the park and by far the most technical. The surface ranges from flat with good footing to very steep with loose rocks.
